Clinkscales Family in America

About (2017)

While I am “cleaning” and updating this blog, please be patient — Time has left broken links, old data, and incomplete post in this site. I am attempting to correct this.

For now, how about something about the author:

I know I have written this ‘about me’ theme sometime before now. Yet it does not appear to be on any of my “blog” sites.

Here goes, rapid fire:

I am a weaver.
I write poems/prose.
I have way to many web sites to keep track of, but I do try.

Three of my passions are:
1) Weaving
2) Writing (various topic, styles, lengths)
3) Genealogy
Each of these interest have strong pull on my “free time”. Some how on the surface they seem separate topics – when I get involved in one, the others seem to draw me in to further research, or furthering a woven piece (by hand or on a loom).

I am a daydreamer, a “south paw”, a “tow head”, — have been know as a misfit, tomboy, hillbilly, and more.

When I can think of more detail, I will update this ‘blurb’. But for now.
Thank you, for visiting!

  1. Thank you for allowing me in here. Some of my descendants are Clinkscales out of Anderson SC and I am very interested to continue my genealogical trek.
I understand misfit as I resemble that remark…

      You are most welcome.
I notice you are new to WordPress — it is a fantastic place for a “site” or Blog. The learning and help tutorials are quite good.

As for the Clinkscales research — there are many, many descendants world wide.
Have you ever seen “The Stream Flows On: The Clinkscales Family in America”
      — a book/compiled family history by Wilda Wing?
[I need to double check that title…I am at work and quote the title from memory].

It is a hard to find title; but worth the hunt.

Also, if you have a particularly hard couple or person that you are researching, I might be able to give you some tips, or run some queries for you.
      Just let me know.
      Again, welcome Clinkscales kin.
